About the Stone House
Step back in time with a stay in the historic 1900s Stone House, one of the most unique stays in Southern Utah. Built by early settlers and carved from the surrounding red canyon rock, this one-of-a-kind retreat blends rich history with modern comfort.
Originally a homestead for early Kanab settlers, the Stone House now features a plush queen bed, dining nook, AC, and a Keurig coffee maker. You’ll also enjoy a private bath and shower house, plus a one-of-a-kind outdoor shower with cascading water from a natural hoodoo.
Spend your days paddleboarding on the pond, hiking the Hidden Caves trail, and your evenings relaxing by your private fire pit under the stars.

We stayed in the Stone House at Cave Lakes and it was brilliant!! We were very secluded. We were not bothered by the staff at all and the experience was rustic. The Canyon is gorgeous and private. The Stone House is the only way to go!
