Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the official check in and check out time?
    Check-in is anytime after 4:00pm. Cave Lakes is a self check in resort. Upon arrival you can head directly to your unit. Check out time is anytime before 10:00am on your departure day.
  • Cancellation Policy
    We have an extremely lenient cancellation policy. We allow a full refund for cancelations made 1 day prior to your stay. If cancelled within 24 hours of your stay, no refund will be given.
  • Can I bring a pet during my stay?
    Unfortunately pets are not allowed in glamping tents, cabins and suites.
  • What is the distance to Zion National Park?
    You can easily travel to Zion National Park in 30 minutes from Cave Lakes.
  • What amenities are provided during my stay?
    Experience Cave Lakes to its fullest. Guests can enjoy the following: - Free (first come first serve) paddleboards on the main pond - Full access to the common area BBQ area - Cave Sauna - Hidden Caves Walking path: short and unpaved trail leading you to our two iconic hidden cave lakes on property - Fishing (catch and release only) *Please note wood and fishing supplies not provided.
  • What is the distance to Bryce Canyon National Park?
    Bryce Canyon National Park is located a short driving distance away only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Cave Lakes.
  • What is the nearest airport to Cave Lakes Canyon?
    While Kanab city does have a private airport for small jets, the closest regional airport to Cave Lakes is St. George Regional Airport in St. George, Utah, while the most popular airport to travel from is Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • How far is the airport from Cave Lakes Canyon?
    The distance from St. George Regional Airport in St. George, Utah to Cave Lakes is only a 45 minute drive. The drive from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas is a longer trek and travel time is around 2 hours.
  • Are fire pits available to use during my stay?
    Absolutely! Each unit has it's own private fire pit. Waterfront tents all have propane fire tables and Cabins / Kiva / Stone house have custom propane fire rocks which are built from canyon boulders that surround you. There are also two wood burning fire pits available for use in the Caves Commons area and island. Wood not provided.
  • Do tents have air conditioning?
    Cabin Series Tent Suites are equipped with high efficiency central air conditioning. Our Nomad Series Tents are equipped with portable air conditioning. Please understand that due to the uninsulated canvas of the tents and cabins, do not expect the AC to keep up during the heat of the day. We recommend exploring the canyon, swimming in the pond, or hiking the hidden caves trail. It will cool things off in the evening.
  • Do the tents have heat?
    All of our units are equipped with heating. During the spring/ summer / early fall guests can use the provided dual AC / Heater units. The cabins have mini splits and tents have highly efficient dual systems. During the colder months we provide cozy fireplaces in each unit that will heat the whole space.
  • What amenities are provided in my glamping tent stay?
    The Cabin Series Tents have luxurious fully appointed bathrooms with showers and relaxing soaking bathtubs. Nomad Series ​​have bathroom and shower facilities just a walk away. Suites are equipped with full power - coffee stations, charging units, and solar lanterns. Waterfront views right off your patio. The common area has a BBQ pit, grassy area, and fit pit inside the Hoodoo Cave. The main pond is a great place to take a dip or cast a rod to catch some fish. Stand up paddleboards are also an option for rent. Horse trail ride tours operate through the canyon and are also available for booking. Walking paths take you to some incredible sights around the property like Dellenbaugh Cave and Weeping Cave - natural Cave Lakes full of water and wonder.
  • Do tents and bathroom facilities have hot water?
    Yes, all our bathrooms have hot water.
  • Is WiFi internet service available at Cave Lakes Canyon?
    Of course, we provide Free WiFi access to all guests.
  • Are children allowed to stay?
    Yes, kids are allowed to stay in most glamping tents. Please check each tent listing for exact details.
  • Can I host my event here?
    We love to host events! Shoot us an email at info@cavelakes.com with your details and intended date.
  • Do you allow longer stays?
    Cave Lakes allows extended stays 28 days or longer. If you’re interested in booking a longer stay email us or call directly.
  • Do tents have lake views?
    Tents have waterfront views backed by vibrant canyon walls all under a blanket of stars you'll have to see to believe - this is vacationing.
  • Do tents have patios or balconies?
    Relax on your own private patio or balcony while taking in all the beauty and surrounding nature.
  • Will my glamping tent have a refrigerator?
    All glamping tents are equipped with a mini fridge or refrigerator.
  • Are BBQ pits available during my stay?
    A propane BBQ grill is provided at the common area. Guests are welcome to cook on it anytime. BBQ utensils not included.
  • Is a coffee maker provided?
    Yes, we have Keurig coffee machines stationed in your glamping tent for the perfect cup of morning joe.
  • Do the waterfront tents have bathrooms inside of them?
    The Tents do not have their own bathrooms inside the units, however they do have a shared private shower house just steps away.
  • Do the cabins have bathrooms inside?
    Yes! Each of the Cabins and Stone House Suite have private luxury bathrooms complete with a shower and tub.
